My story

[p]Hi All,[/p][p]Thank you for taking the time to visit our page.[/p][p]Over the course of the O.N.E & M.A.P Project's, the teams wish to raise as much money as possible for various charities, but, have picked the amazing Evelina Children's Hospital as the main one. This incredible hospital offers a unique range of services from antenatal diagnosis through to childhood, into adolescence and on into adult life. It is based in Lambeth and is administratively a part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Hospital. With approx 140 beds, and 100's of day clinic patients, it is the second largest provider of children's services in London.[/p][p]By raising funds for Evelina we are helping to provide better services, improve the wide range of treatments available and save children's lives![/p][p]So far the guys successfully completed Tough Mudder during the summer of 2018, followed by David Moriarty admirably conquering Mt Elbrus in the summer of 2018! This is One of the famous Seven Summits and the highest peak in the Caucasus and in Europe. He done this over a 9 day period.[/p][p]David then stepped up to the challenge yet again and conquered Mt Aconcagua after a gruelling 16day ascent. Named ‘Acconcahuac’ (the stone sentinel) by the Incas, Aconcagua is the highest peak in the Southern and Western hemispheres, the second highest of the Seven Summits and the world’s highest summit outside of the Himalaya. [/p][p]The team at ONE now has Eddie the Teddy as their poster boy for all forthcoming events and challenges. Eddie was given to the Site team by the staff at Evelina prior to the Mt Aconcagua expedition and he is embracing the challenges as much as the team, while also being the focus of much admiration! [/p][p]Both teams are currently in the process of arranging more challenges and events with the overall goal of raising £25,000 for the fantastic cause-please watch this space for further updates. The sum mentioned is required to purchase a new ventilator for the hospital in time for their new ward opening in the summer of 2019. with everyone's help we are hoping to provide this essential life saving equipment to the hospital on behalf of the ONE and MAP teams and by all those who have donated. [/p][p]Please if you could donate any amount you can for this amazing hospital and the lifesaving work they do it would be greatly appreciated.[/p][p]Thank you all in advance,[/p][p]The One Nine Elms & Marble Arch Team's :)[/p]
