My story

[p] Dean Attwell CEO and Co-Founder of Oakland International will be joined by fellow Directors, colleagues and suppliers who work closely with the company to take part in the Velo Birmingham and Midlands 100 mile cycle ride to raise funds in memory of Jordon Wilson who sadly passed away in January 2018 from a rare bone cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. Jordon’s father Paul Wilson is an employee of Oakland International and all funds raised will be donated directly to two charities chosen by the Wilson family, namely Bone Cancer Research Trust which provides research in relation to this rare disease and Reach Charity Limited which helps children with upper limb differences.[/p][p] [/p][p] The event takes place on Sunday 12th May starting and finishing in Birmingham City centre, taking some 17,000 cyclists through Solihull, Warwickshire, Dudley and Sandwell.[/p][p] The team have been in training since February, and with an early start at 06.00 a.m., they aim to complete the route in 8 hours.[/p][p] Any donation, no matter how small will be much appreciated in supporting these worthy charities.[/p][p] [/p]
