60K Ultimate Fitness Challenge

[p][b]DEMELZA HOSPICE CARE FOR CHILDREN[/b] rely almost entirely on fundraising & voluntary donations & has suffered more than ever during the 'Lockdown' & Covid-19 period. [b]Demelza help families cope with the fear, challenges & complexities of having a child with a terminal condition[/b] - from diagnosis, day to day family life, times of crisis & through bereavement.[/p][p]Since 2011 a team of dads, wags & kidz have been raising money for Demelza. We call ourselves 'Phat Dads Club'. This year, due to Covid-19 & its restrictions, charity events we entered were cancelled so I've decided to do my own & hope to complete in under 8 hours. Supported by [u]*Sir Rod & Penny[/u] this is '[b]The 60K Ultimate Fitness Challenge[/b]':[/p][p][b]1,000 Press-Ups[/b] (total 65 tonnes, equivalent of more than 35 average cars); [b]1,000 Steps carrying 100kg Barbell[/b] (equivalent of carrying a Heavyweight Pro Boxer 1/2 mile); [b]4,000m Swim[/b] (full IRONMAN distance, equivalent swim to the Isle of Wight & back again); [b]10,000m Run[/b] [b]& 10,000m Row[/b] (collective distance from England to Ireland); Plus [b]34,000m Road Cycle[/b] (distance from England to France). Grand total of reps, steps & distances above equals 60,000 and hence 'The 60K Ultimate Fitness Challenge.' [/p][p][u]*Sir Rod & Penny have offered to match whatever we raise for Demelza Hospice Care for Children (up to £6,000), so with your help we could reach a total of £12k & smash the target!!
