My story

[lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;]Another year and another crazy idea to stave off middle age spread and prove I still have it, even in my 40’s. Following a conversation with several Dads in December at my daughter’s school we thought it would be a great idea to try and get to Paris in 24 hours on bikes for Charity. This is in part to raise money for the school but also for the Chiltern Center; a local charity that provides support for disabled children to try and get the most out of life. [/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;] [/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;]As most of you know I have really been bitten by the cycling bug over the last 3 years and I have at last found my version of golf. However, this challenge has really pushed me to the limit of what I can endure on a bike. Training for this distance has meant being out on the road at 6am on a Sunday in some pretty brutal weather. I even managed to write off a bike such is the endurance (the picture is of me holding a snapped crank at the top of a hill begging Sarah to pick me up!). So with a new bike under my stewardship and a lot of early starts I am feeling bullish on my chances of reaching Paris under my own steam. [/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;] [/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;]To spur me on I am asking friends and family to give what they can towards a good cause and sponsor me on my jaunt South in June. [/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px;"[gt][span=font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: small;][lt]br /[gt][/span][span=font-family: Calibri; font-size: small;] Thanks as ever.
