[p]On 22nd September a team from PPG will be running the Ipswich half marathon raising money for George to get a new Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair [/p][p] [/p][p]George is a delightful bright happy 7 year old boy who attends his local primary school. He has Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2 a muscle wasting condition for which at the moment there is no treatment or cure [/p][p] [/p][p]George has never been able to walk and has been dependent on a power wheelchair since he was in nursery. His current chair is now too small for him and needs to be replaced as soon as possible[/p][p] [/p][p]The Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair offers all essential functions, good supporting seating, recline and tilt in space. It has many other specialist features including a seat riser which allows the seat to rise up to bring the user up to adult eye level which is especially useful in lessons and the playground for social development and independence. It can be fitted with an automatic lock down when in the family vehicle which makes outings much easier than fiddling with the alternative webbing straps.[/p][p] [/p][p]The Paravan Piccolino Wheelchair is a high quality chair in terms of materials, engineering and design. Having a chair of this calibre is very important to George and he’ll make good use of all available functions. This chair should last George a minimum of 5 years[/p][p] [/p][p]With your support we could make a huge difference to Georges life for the next 5 years[/p][p] [/p]
