[/p][p]With the partnership lasting until the end of 2021, we will lend its support by fundraising and joining three incredible athlete ambassadors, David Weir, Alfie Hewett and Alice Tai on their journey to the games. [/p][p]The digital marketing campaign, We are Limitless, aims to raise awareness of how each athlete ambassador has overcome challenges they’ve faced and acts as a rallying cry, encouraging both Papa John’s staff and customers to break limits and aim to collectively raise £250,000 for ParalympicsGB.[/p][p]The Papa John’s ambassadors include wheelchair athlete and Paralympic legend David Weir, a six-time gold medallist and eight-time winner of the London Marathon. David has established himself as one of the most recognisable faces of Paralympic sport, the Tokyo Games next year will be his fifth appearance. [/p][p]Joining David as a Papa John’s ambassador is Alfie Hewett, a grand slam champion in wheelchair tennis, who is preparing for his second Paralympic games after picking up two silver medals in Rio 2016. And last but not least, swimmer Alice Tai - at the age of just 21, Alice is a gold medallist at European, World, Commonwealth and Paralympic level having won gold in the 4x100m medley at the Rio games.[/p][p] Papa John’s athlete ambassador, David Weir, said: “I’m thrilled to be an ambassador for Papa John’s as preparations continue for Tokyo. As Paralympians, we are always looking to smash records and overcome adversity, and it’s great that Papa John’s is urging its customers to do the same and raise vital funds for Paralympic sport.”[/p][p]Giles Codd, Marketing Director of Papa John’s UK, said: “We are extremely proud to be partnering with ParalympicsGB at such an exciting time for the team. The inspirational work that ParalympicsGB does to support their athletes is so important and we’re delighted that we’re able to help by raising money and awareness.”[/p][p]Speaking on the partnership, Mike Sharrock, Chief Executive of ParalympicsGB, said: “We are delighted to launch this exciting new fundraising partnership on the day the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games was originally scheduled to begin. [/p][p]“The delay has presented us with challenges and opportunities, and we are confident with the support of the British public our talented ParalympicsGB athletes can inspire and unite the nation once again with their performances in Tokyo.”[/p][p]For more information please visit www.papajohns.co.uk/paralympicsgb [/p][p][br][/p][p] [/p]
