My story

[p]We are delighted to confirm that for a third year, we will once again be doing a Reverse Advent initiative, as a way of giving back to those less fortunate and in support of The Trussell Trust network of foodbanks. [/p][p]We know it has been an extremely difficult year for many people less fortunate than us; [b]over 8.4 million people in the UK are now experiencing food poverty of some kind[/b] and The Trussell Trust expects its network of UK food banks to give out [b]six emergency food parcels every minute this winter[/b]. We also know that many of the usual fundraising activities that occur around this time of year will be unable to take place due to lockdown restrictions, making this initiative even more important. [/p][p]Due to the pandemic, we won’t be able to collect donations in our offices as we have previously, so we have come up with two options: we’ll be asking everyone to make collections of non-perishable food at home and arrange to drop these off at a local drop-off point in a ‘Covid-secure’ way, or to consider making a financial donation. [/p][p]Thank you so much to everyone for taking part and supporting this brilliant cause. Together we can make a real difference to those most in need this Christmas.[/p]
