My story

[p]I will be running the London Marathon in Memory of my Brother Eugene who sadly passed away on the 27th December 2018.[/p][p]My brother who was just a year older than me had been ill for some time. Towards the end of his life he couldn't walk or talk, so on those those cold dark mornings, when I really don't want to get out of my bed and run in the pouring rain (or snow) I will remember that at least I can run! [/p][p]He always said that I did enough running for the two of us and those friends who run with me know I can definitely talk enough for two people.[/p][p]I did enter for a place with a charity related to his disease but unfortunately I was unable to secure a place running for them. Therefore I will be raising money in his name for a local charity who help individuals cope through difficult times in their lives including the loss of a loved one. [/p][p]In addition to being a counselling service, they also tackle the shortage of qualified counsellors in the community, by providing a structured and supportive learning environment for trainees. They have 50 supervised trainee counsellors at Help. [/p][p]A donation of £10 could answer the phone to someone that requires listening support from a counsellor[/p][p]A donation of £30 could pay for one counselling session for someone struggling with their mental health[/p][p]A donation of £240 could pay for the monthly cost of supervision for 16 therapists[/p][p]A donation of £1,500 could pay for 50 sessions of counselling (approx. one year) for an individual who otherwise could not access support[/p][p]Please give as generously as you can![/p][p]To find out more information about Help Counselling, visit:[/p][p]www.helpcounselling.com [/p][p]www.facebook.com/HelpCounsellingCentre[/p][p]Twitter @HELPcc[/p]
