My story

[p]I'm Patrick McIntosh, a triple cancer survivor, grandfather and businessman who wants to save lives by raising awareness of the risks of cancer. [/p][p]In 2015 I trekked to the South Pole in extreme temperatures to inspire others and prove what's possible after being successfully treated for bowel, prostate and skin cancer. [/p][p]Now I am taking on a new challenge - I will cycle from Twickenham, UK, to Tokyo, Japan: over 7,000 miles and climbing more than 50,000m of ascent, crossing northern Europe and all of Russia. [/p][p]Why I am doing this? To raise awareness of how you can increase your chances of beating cancer (get an early diagnosis, exercise, stay positive and tailor the right diet for your recovery) and to raise money for great causes. Please give generously and support my #LifeCycle - a Global Ride to Fight Cancer. [/p][p]Our charity partners: [/p][p]World Cancer Research Fund - the only charity focussed on preventing cancer through diet, lifestyle and exercise[/p][p]and [/p][p]St Catherine's Hospice - my local hospice, providing vital care at the end of life, helping others who haven't been as lucky as me. Brilliant effort.Loved all the pics and videos along the way. We now have a much better idea about rural Russia, Siberia and Japan than ever before. Particularly Japan. We look forward to the lifecycle talk presentation! idc o/r in Suffolk !

Sorry to donate near the end of your trip rather than at what would have been more of motivating time at the start. Congratulations on this lunatic feat - it must be the experience of a lifetime.
