My story

[p]Well, she smashed her goal of £1000 so she raised the bar to £2000. She has passed that target and, with Gift Aid, she has raised over £3500!! And, guess what, she wants to keep going so let's keep encouraging Patti. She feels very fortunate so far to have the company, fun, and dedicated care that exists within Mull Hall Residential Care Home and is very aware that there are elderly people all over the UK who right now are feeling very isolated, confused at times, unable to see family and friends or get to their social clubs. [/p][p]Her Story:[/p][p]Patti has never been one to shirk away from helping others in the most practical of ways.[/p][p]Although Patti has Vascular Dementia she still vividly remembers the war years and how her country had to pull together. [/p][p]The saying 'give a busy person a job and it will be done' has always rung true as Patti had seven children with her husband Josef, foster cared for 19 children, was a District Councillor and was extremely proactive in her local Alness community. [/p][p]So, true to spirit, she has looked at a way to help in the Covid-19 pandemic. [/p][p]She entered Mull Hall Residential Care Home at a time when restrictions and lockdown were put in place and, being such a social person has, at times, found this difficult. [/p][p]So, jointly she came up with the idea of passing her time whilst supporting the Care Sector by walking a circuit of Mull Hall Care Home every day in an endeavour to raise money. [/p][p]Funds raised will go in support of those caring for the elderly in a Care Home setting within the Highlands - protection for the staff and key workers along with protection, care and support for residents. It will also support those with Dementia/Alzheimer who are isolated at home. [/p][p]Patti will continue with her mission until 8th May or longer. She is doing absolutely great as you can see from the photos. Please keep supporting her - even with messages of encouragement. [/p][p]As Patti says, please "Help Us, To Help Them, to Help Us!"[/p]
