My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page,[/p][p]So unfortunately i had to stop my training for the marathon just before christmas on medical advice due to having tests for a genetic heart condition, [/p][p]So my good friend Mr John Collett has decided that because he is also running the marathon he will try and raise as much money as possible for this amazing charity. [/p][p]Many thanks John and the very, very best of luck, YOU WILL SMASH IT,,,[/p][p]This page is now yours to raise as much as possible [/p][p]THANK YOU ......................................................................[/p][p]So i have stupidly and insanely decided to run a marathon. Stupidly because i have not ran since i had to retire from playing football at the age of 21 through doctors advice due to tearing my knee ligaments on numerous occasions.  Insanely because i run a pub, have 5 children, my partner works almost the complete opposite hours to me and i'm about 4 stone overweight. Time is precious and fitting training in with all of the above is going to be difficult especially when im carrying alot of weight at the moment. I know Tina and the kids will give me all the support and encouragement i will need but for that extra bit of encouragement i decided i really want to raise some money for someone who needs it.[/p][p]Sooooooo[/p][p]I sat down had a think and decided i want to make some money and raise awareness for a local charity. I've raised alot of money in the past for Macmillan Cancer and something closer to home Harefield Heart Transplant Hospital where my brother lost his life at 14 and recently my sister had a heart transplant.[/p][p]So i sent a message to a friend of mine Mr Dave Howell. Dave has been suffering from MS for a few years now and is always trying to create awareness for this horrible condition. Dave had a look for me and found a fantastic local charity that depends on around £35.000 a year in aid and funding to survive. They only have one paid member of staff who runs the show and everyone else helps out free of charge. The Charity is called MS therapy centre oxfordshire and their website is www.omstc.org so please take a look at the fantastic work they are doing.[/p][p]NOW this is where you come in i'm willing to put my body through hell but i'm not willing to do it for free. Please find it in your heart to give as generously as you can ad i promise i will do everything i can to raise as much money and awareness as i can for Dave and the MS therapy centre Oxfordshire.[/p][p]Thank you so much and please wish me luck and pray lol x[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
