My story
[p]***UPDATE***[/p][p]I completed my Living Room Marathon inside 4hrs and 38 minutes on Wednesday 8 April. A massive thank you for this astonishing amount of donations. I am truly grateful. I intend to run a couple more before the rearranged outdoor marathons take place and will leave this page open. Thanks once again![/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p]****EDIT*****[/p][p]With the three marathons postponed due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, I just wanted to update you all. I will still take part in the marathons when they are rearranged.[/p][p]However, on Wednesday April 8, I will be doing a marathon in my living room... Yeah, I know it's pretty crazy but I'm committed to keeping up my long-distance running during this lockdown.[/p][p]If it goes well and I'm not too injured, I'll probably do a couple more.[/p][p]A massive thanks to everybody who has already donated.[/p][p][br][/p][p]*******************************************************************************************************************[/p][p][br][/p][p]As most of you know I'm quite into my running. Some of you might say that I'm obsessed by it. So, running a marathon will not be much of a challenge for me as I've already run five.[/p][p]But I also like challenges and that's why I've signed up to do three marathons this year in relatively quick succession.[/p][p]The three marathons I've signed up to do are:[/p][p]Manchester Marathon on Sunday 5 April[/p][p]Blackpool Marathon on Sunday 26 April [/p][p]Bolton Marathon on Sunday 17 May[/p][p]I am aiming to do each of these in or around 3 hours and 45 mins as I've really upped my training and pace.[/p][p]However, more importantly, I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for High Five, who support families of children with disabilities in Lancashire.[/p][p]My daughter, Isabella, is the centre of my universe and she inspires me every day. Without her in my life, I wouldn't take on any challenges and I'd probably be living a sedantry lifestyle.[/p][p]So, if you've got any spare pennies available please can you donate them to High Five so families of children with disabilities can continue to feel empowered as they go out into the community.[/p][p][br][/p]
