My story

[p]Hi all. Some of you will be aware and some not, so please bare with me. On the 26th November 17, my Father in Law John Connor, while in London celebrating his sons 50th and wife's 70th, had an Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm in the reception of the hotel he was staying in and with prompt help from Zill (member of staff at the Double Tree Hilton Tower Bridge) the paramedics were called. John's first bit of luck was that they restarted his heart at the first attempt. John's 2nd piece of luck is that the paramedics chose to go to St Thomas's Hospital, one of the best, if not the best in London. Now for John's 3rd piece of luck. The on call surgeon/consultant specialised in John's condition. [/p][p]After approx 3 weeks on life support in intensive care, a time on High dependancy and a few days on a general ward John is well on the road to recovery and only this evening, 29 December 17, we have found been informed he is coming home to Cleethorpes to finish off recouperating. So, to show appreciation to all the fantastic staff at St Thomas's, I will be walking from my home town of Cleethorpes to St Thomas's hospital London. Early calculations make the walk 160 miles long over a proposed 6 days. Please help and donate. Thanks for reading and share far and wide among your friends. [/p]
