My story

The Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) aims to eliminate avoidable sight loss and offer information, support and advice to over two million people with sight loss in the UK. RNIB also supports people with sight loss to live independently and aims to create an inclusive society where blind and partially sighted people live as equal and participating citizens.

I will be walking the RNIB mile with Bilal Hussein. Bilal is 21 years old and is registered blind. Originally from East London, Bilal is a residential student at RNIB College Loughborough where he is studying GCSE's in Maths and English. RNIB has given Bilal the confidence and opportunity to want to continue his studies and go onto University. His ambition is to be a teacher.

Bilal and I hope to raise awareness of sight loss and RNIB. Any money raised will be put toward building a gym at RNIB College Loughborough, which will allow the students more freedom to make healthy life choices and maybe even encourage a new generation of paralympians. We hope that you will donate to support many others, like Bilal, that need emotional and practical support.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
