My story

I am delighted to be supporting Action for Children; a charity that supports the most vulnerable and neglected children in the Country. The vital work Action for Children has carried out for 140 years is remarkable. I will be walking the Action for Children mile with Martin Dray and I am very excited to be walking with him. Martin was born with a recently discovered and extremely rare genetic condition that means he cannot walk, cannot talk and has limited understanding. He also suffers from severe episodes of epilepsy, has autistic tendencies, problems with swallowing, suffers from severe cramping in his legs and is prone to chest infections. Despite all this he remains incredibly upbeat and he certainly has a lust for life. One of the ways Action for Children support Martin is by providing care at the Action for Children house in Kingston upon Thames where the staff take him for long walks and play football with him. This also allows Martin to have fun and his family to relax. I hope very much that you will support Martin and the many young people who need support by donating to Action for Children and making a significant difference to their lives.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.
