My story

[p][b]The Challenges[/b][/p][p]Autumn is coming, and to mark the occasion, I'm taking part in 4 endurance events to raise funds for SALVE International as part of their Challenge 30 campaign.[/p] [p][span=text-decoration: underline;]Challenge One[/span][/p][p]On the 5[sup]th[/sup] September, I will be swapping my suit for a neoprene number, as I take on the Dart 10k, an open water swim down the Dart Estuary in Devon, from Totnes to Dittisham. This is a marathon where arms are king![/p] [p][span=text-decoration: underline;]Challenge Two[/span][/p][p]Two weeks later, I’ll be following that with a 24-hour, 75K hike through the Peak District. Bad enough on its own, what's even more worrying is the fact that I’ll be navigating across the course via OSS map, and for much of it in the dead of night. Let’s hope the rain stays away![/p] [p][span=text-decoration: underline;]Challenge Three[/span][/p][p]On the 25[sup]th[/sup] October, I will be practicing my Italian and ensuring that I’ve eaten bucket loads of carbs for the Venice Marathon. Correre piu veloce![/p][p][span=text-decoration: underline;]Challenge Four[/span][/p][p]To wrap up Autumn, I’ll be ending with the Dirty Double on the 7th/8th November.  All completely above board I promise! This is two Lake District trail races in one weekend. On the Saturday it will be up Helvellyn, and on the Sunday we stay nearer to sea level at Ullswater. [/p] [p][b]The Fantastic Charity[/b][/p][p]Any support, no matter the size will be greatly appreciated. The money you help raise will go towards building a Rehabilitation Home for the Ugandan children that S.A.L.V.E. looks after - children who have nowhere else to go and who have been without this stability for so much of their lives.[/p] [p]S.A.L.V.E. International is a British and Ugandan based charity working to get children off the streets in the Jinja district, eastern Uganda. Our ethos is “Support And Love Via Education”.[/p] [p]With the generous help of our supporters, S.A.L.V.E. works with children on the streets so they have the opportunity to leave their difficult pasts behind them and move forward, towards a brighter future.[/p]
