My story

[p]7 members of staff from Policy Services & Virtue Money have decided to take on the Glasgow Half Marathon this September 2019 in aid of FDAMH. Every year the companies dedicate time to raise money for worthy causes and this year's charity is as worthy as they come. FDAMH support and give aid to people who battle daily with mental health issues. This is a subject close to many of our hearts and we want to raise as much money as possible to assist in keeping the services that FDAMH offer, available for as long as possible.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The team is made up of 7 members of staff, who vary in age;[/p][p]The Men;[/p][p]Blair and Josh.[/p][p]The Ladies;[/p][p]Diane, Eilidh, Michaela, Amy & Kirsty[/p][p][br][/p][p]Out of our group, none of us are seasoned or professional runners. In fact, some of us (Michaela!) don't even particularly like running. The Glasgow 1/2 Marathon is 13 miles (21km) starting on the gruelling St. Vincent Street, taking us through the city. This will be not only physically, but mentally challenging for our whole group. We literally will be 'Chafing The Dream'. [/p][p]We have all been training over the last couple of months, but now the hard work really starts and the real training begins!! All the support we have received until now has been so motivating but now we would be so grateful if you could all support us by donating as little as £1 to help us raise money for such a fantastic cause. Every £1 raised goes towards another group session, one-to-one counselling, befriending services, mental health training, anxiety support groups, bereavement support and family support services. This is a vital service in the community which is hugely underfunded.[/p][p][br][/p][p]Thank you in advance for all your support and well wishes.[/p][p]Team 'Chafing The Dream'[/p]
