My story

[p]Hello! Welcome to my 'Virgin Giving' fundraising page for London Marathon 2018![/p] [p]Yes, maybe I'm crazy but I have put my name down for the annual 26.2 miles (4+ hours running) London Marathon which is taking place on 22nd April 2018.[/p] [p]I will be running for a great local London charity called [span=font-weight: bold;]Ability Bow[/span] who run a truly inspiring Gym for people with disabilities and long-term health conditions in Bow (East London). The gym offers one-to-one sessions for people with conditions such as Strokes, Multiple Scieoris, Learning Difficulties and Deafness, giving them more confidence and a means to exercise in safe and comfortable environment, watch Grace's story, it's truly inspirational: http://bit.ly/2gbNPig[/p] [p][span=font-weight: bold;][lt]span style="text-decoration-line: underline;"[gt]Unfortunately, the Gym is facing closure without the help of you![/span][lt]/span[gt][/p] [p]The reason I want to run London Marathon...[/p] [p]Last year my Father (Nigel) suffered a life-changing Stroke, it was one of the most heartbreaking and stressful 48hrs for him and my family. Thankfully given the speed of the paramedics and the great work of Doctor Karn at Carlisle's Cumberland Infirmary my father still hasn't lost any of his mobility, speech or memory but the Stroke has rendered him 90% Blind. This has had a huge impact on his confidence and independence as he is unable to get from A to B unassisted.[/p] [p]The work Ability Bow is doing to help people with Strokes and other conditions istruly remarkable, please Donate as much as you can, it's for a great cause, I need to raise [span=font-weight: bold;]£1,300 [/span][lt]span[gt]before the race starts.[lt]/span[gt][/p] [p]I hope to see some of you at the finish line for a celebratory Beer (if I survive!)[/p] [p][/p] [p]Thanks![/p][p]George[/p]
