Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. Project Change Croydon is fundraising for Nightwatch Croydon. Why not donate to such a great cause?[/p][p]In this team are:[/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]Kavit Shah, Natasha Sheth, Damola Shobowale, Beckie De Saulles, Rachel Swain, Jennifer Ogbeta, Nicole Vigilance, Lucy Casey, Zarah Hussain, Afua Amoah-Arko, Edwina Buenor, Hannah Cunningham.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][lt]p class="blackheader"[gt][span=text-decoration: underline;]About Project Change[/span][/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]After the riots in Croydon and other places last August, there was a lot of media coverage about “feral teenagers”.[/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]In fact, most of the people convicted of offences in Croydon on 8th August weren’t teenagers and only a tiny minority of young people in Croydon were involved, but the media love to stereotype.[/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]It’s time we did something about it.[/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]With the help of Croydon MP Gavin Barwell, we have got together a group of young people from right across the borough who are going to meet up once a month to do something to improve the town – and hopefully change other people’s perceptions of young people in the process.[/p][lt]p class="bodytext"[gt]We’ll decide what we are going to do and Gavin has said he’ll help arrange the necessary funding and equipment - and provide a reference for anyone who turns up regularly.[/p]
