Team story

[p]We're raising money towards the £250,000 funding shortfall for the development of the former Edenside Residential Care Home into much needed accommodation for older adults in Appleby-in-Westmorland. The care home was closed following flooding due to Storm Desmond in 2015 and is now in the ownership of The Oaklea Trust, the Cumbrian based charity supporting individuals and communities to achieve their aspirations and maximise their capabilities.[/p][p]Fit as a gazelle Finance Manager Charles Holdsworth suggested the Appleby Rotary10K and that the Team should be 'led' by complete running novice FD Sandy Murray. With true team spirit she agreed and is now faced with an extreme personal challenge to survive the 10K "undulating"!! course around picturesque Appleby. Other members of the Team are also putting in the effort to join in with the 4K Fun Run on the same day.[/p][p]Please support this good cause and donate, the gift aid makes a huge difference too - thank you![/p]
