Team story

[p]Summer Solstice Run! We're Back!!!![/p][p]This year we have been challenged by the Petty Pool Trust to raise £12,000 towards their exciting expansion plans adding new classrooms so that even more young people can come and benefit from the training schemes and activities on offer. [/p][p]On Thursday the 20th and Friday the 21st of June, we are aiming to complete a relay around a 100 mile circuit of the Cheshire Canal Ring within 24 hours to raise funds for our chosen charity The Petty Pool Trust.[/p][p]Based on the needs of young people, Petty Pool Plus is an exciting new provision offered by Petty Pool. Building on the excellent services provided by Vocational College the new services are offered with the same ethos and person-centred approach to support young people to reach their potential.[/p][p]The services offered include[/p][p]Short Breaks stays[/p][p]Social Activities[/p][p]Conservation and community projects with Petty Pool Rangers[/p][p]Bespoke packages of support for groups and individuals to Prepare for Adulthood and to address any barriers to learning[/p][p]Funding from this year’s R100 event will help develop this service which it is hoped will be self-sustainable in the long run through direct payments[/p][p]The Petty Pool Trust - In partnership with South Cheshire College, Petty Pool College offers a wide range of Entry Level courses to students from across Cheshire and Halton. Most students are aged between 16 and 25 years of age and come from a wide variety of backgrounds - school, different colleges, day services or home. The Outdoor Centre provides team building days and residential experiences for SEN schools and adults with learning disabilities, mainstream primary and secondary schools, colleges and corporate businesses.[/p]
