[p]I'm running a marathon ....eek! [/p][p]Recently I have found myself being moved by the cause of mental health in children and young people. My experiences of seeing family members and the students I teach suffer with depression, stress, anxiety and feeling alone, have driven me to try and do something about it. As well as having someone or somewhere for children and young people to seek advice and support, I also feel it’s hugely important to lift the stigma attached to mental health.[/p][p]So here I am. I wanted a challenge which would help all those children who are suffering by raising funds for a charity who can genuinely help young people and their parents. YoungMinds is a charity providing an outlet for young people, someone to talk to, get help and advice, and cope with life's adversities so that they can get their lives back on track. They also support parents, by providing valuable and confidential help when needed. Please, please support this charity by sponsoring me to run the Manchester marathon on Sunday 2nd April! The 6am training runs 3 times a week and having to ice my leg every day to nurse an ongoing injury would be so much more bearable knowing that I have your support. Please help support all those young and vulnerable people by supporting this much needed charity. Every child deserves to be happy and every penny really does count. [/p][p]To get fundraising off to a great start ... A huge thankyou to the students and staff at The West Bridgford School who rasied all of the offline donation of £2100 for YoungMinds!! [/p][p]Together let's make every child smile :-) Thank you for your amazing support, it means a lot to me! [/p][p]Randip x[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this.[/p]
