Team story

[p]The RP500 "Zoodax" is an opportunity for us to give back to the park that we have spent thousands of hours in over the last 10 years. [/p][p]The challenge is nothing new, simply stated we will ride around the Outer Circle  as we do most days. The difference is that we intend to circle the park 113 times, totalling 500 kilometers in distance. [/p][p]The plan is to start at 5am on Saturday 3rd, finished by 5am on Sunday 4th[/p][p]The Royal Parks bring joy and fitness benefits to thousands of cyclists. We are going to do what we can to say thanks. [/p][p]In for the journey: James O'Connell & Tom Harris[lt]br /[gt][/p][p]Where will the money go?[/p][p]http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/fund/cherrytrees[/p][p]As his Royal Highness the Prince of Wales says renewing Regent's Park cherry trees will "lift the spirits"[/p][p]http://www.supporttheroyalparks.org/support_the_parks/sponsor_a_cherry_tree[/p][p]Of course, I welcome and hope that other cyclists will join me in part or all of this challenge. If you would like to join and get involved, then let me know and start raising money. Further details to follow.[/p][p][/p][lt]div id="stcpDiv" style="position: absolute; top: -1999px; left: -1988px;"[gt][p]Nearly 40 years ago, Royal Parks’ gardeners planted 100 cherry trees along Chester Road in Regent’s Park, helping create a stunning horticultural display enjoyed by millions of visitors each spring. However, last February, those trees had to be removed having reached the end of their natural lifespan.[/p][p]To help keep Regent’s Park looking beautiful we’re supporting a restoration project to reinstate the cherry trees on Chester Road, which is one of the main gateways to the Park.
