Team story

[p]Relay 100[/p][p]The pandemic has made fundraising difficult for small charities such as ours and without our events and challenges portfolio during 2020/21, we have seen a significant loss in our voluntary income.[/p][p]On a positive note, the pandemic has given rise to a spirit of charity and community that has moved and connected us all.[/p][p]This summer we are looking to harness that willingness to help and support as we undertake an ambitious journey to walk, run or jog across the Diocese of Brentwood, to visit every church and mass centre, to link our communities together and to re-dedicate ourselves to our work.[/p][p]Our epic journey around the Diocese will launch in June 2021 and will take place throughout the summer months.[/p][p]Covering almost 500 miles is a big undertaking for a small team and we are recruiting a band of volunteers to help us complete 100 individual sponsored walks, runs or jogs.[/p][p]While completing these ‘legs’, our volunteers will be fundraising for our work and we will be sharing our message and bringing hope to the children, young people and families who may need our specialist support:[/p][p]This is important because, more now than ever, it is vital that that our message to families is passed on and understood: we are here for you if and for as long as you need us.[/p][p]If you are reading this, you will have decided to support us by making a donation to our 2021 Relay 100 and we would like to thank you for your help.[/p][p]Our work supporting the emotional health and wellbeing of our young people and their families is re-launching in earnest following the coronavirus pandemic – thank you for being part of our Relay of Hope.[/p][p] [/p]
