My story

[p]Thank you for visiting our team's fundraising page for the 2020 London legal sponsored walk. We're taking on 10K for justice on the 5th October.[/p][p]Despite the postponement of the London Legal Walk due to COVID-19, many of us will still be marking 8th June with a virtual 10,000 Steps for Justice, before coming together in solidarity and support for frontline free legal advice services at the main walk in October. The virus is creating an urgent and unprecedented need for advice agency services and it is vital that they continue to receive funding during this difficult period.[/p][p]Our team is: Dan Williams, Kirstie Douse, Husein Meghji, Amelia Freeman, Liam Carmody, Winnie Schmidt[/p][p]We are walking with the Lord Chief Justice and thousands of lawyers to raise funds for Release.[/p][p]Release is the national centre of expertise on drugs and drugs law. The organisation, founded in 1967, is an independent and registered charity. Through our services the team provides free non-judgmental, specialist advice and information to the public and professionals on issues related to drug use and to drug laws. The organisation campaigns directly on issues that impact on our clients - it is their experiences that drive the policy work that Release does and why we advocate for evidence-based drug policies that are founded on principles of public health rather than a criminal justice approach.[/p][p]Please sponsor our walkers as generously as you are able[/p][p]Many thanks for your support[/p]
