My story

[lt]p style="text-align: justify;"[gt]Because Renata is getting so old it's getting harder and harder to find presents for her that she actually appreciates. So rather than waste your money, she'd rather you gave it to someone who will use it to make the world a happier place.[/p] [lt]div class="ng-scope ng-binding" style="text-align: justify;"[gt]Renata's worked with various children's charities over the years and nothing would make her happier than all her friends making a donation instead of buying her a very expensive birthday present (because she knows that you are such amazing friends that, of course, you were going to). The total money raised will then be split between the SWAN UK project and Post Pals, both charities that Renata has been involved with and that Elliot, Lilia and Dominic have benefitted from.[lt]/div[gt] [lt]p style="text-align: justify;"[gt][span=text-decoration: underline;]SWAN UK[/span] (Syndromes Without A Name) offers support and information to families of children with undiagnosed genetic conditions.[lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]As many as 50% of children having genetic tests through the NHS may not get a definite diagnosis for their condition. Most have physical and/or learning disabilities, as well as severe and complex medical needs. Many have life-threatening epilepsy, or are reliant on oxygen, feeding tubes or other medical equipment. Without a diagnosis, their families have no idea what the future will hold for their child; whether they will walk, talk, or even how long they are likely to live. Without a diagnosis, families often experience extreme difficulty accessing the information, care and services that their children need. They may also feel immensely isolated and alone, even within the wider disabled children's community.[/p] [lt]p style="text-align: justify;"[gt][span=text-decoration: underline;]Post Pals[/span] brightens the lives of seriously ill children and their siblings every day by the sending of cards, letter and gifts. Post Pals also grants wishes, provides days out and holds an annual party.[lt]br /[gt][/p] [lt]div class="ng-scope ng-binding" style="text-align: justify;"[gt]There are many children's charities that she'd love to say thank you to, some which are well funded and some which rely on every penny they receive. This money will be donated to two charities that really need it.[lt]/div[gt][lt]div class="ng-scope ng-binding" style="text-align: justify;"[gt]So go on, be generous. Renata will judge how much you like her on how much you give.[lt]/div[gt][lt]div class="ng-scope ng-binding" style="text-align: justify;"[gt]Ok... so she won't, but you'd make her day if you help her raise a decent amount.[lt]/div[gt]
