[p]Update: Dominic did an absolutely amazing job walking 26 laps of our hallway! We recorded the whole event and you can watch it here: https://www.facebook.com/RenataBlower/videos/10157021217291551/[/p][p]We're blown away by how much support you have all given. Dominic and I cannot thank you all enough. Please do keep sharing and spreading the word. Every penny counts[/p][p]---------------------------------------------------------------------------[/p][p]Dominic was born with a condition that means that he cannot walk, he is fed through a tube and needs daily medication to keep him well. Despite being under a world-renowned children's hospital, they still don't know the cause, so for 13 years he has remained undiagnosed. He has been critically ill many times and finds any physical activity exhausting.[/p][p]There are two charities that have had a significant impact on our lives, SWAN UK and Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity. Both charities support children with undiagnosed conditions. Before they came along, there was nothing for families like ours. Both charities are small and are really struggling during the pandemic, so Dominic and I wanted to do something to help them on Undiagnosed Children's Day.[/p][p]Dominic has agreed to take on a huge challenge in the hope that people will support him and donate whatever they can. He will be attempting to complete 26 laps of our hallway in his walker, and we will be streaming it live on Facebook. He can normally only manage a few minutes walking using a frame, so this will be like his own mini-marathon.[/p][p]He is very nervous about it and it will be gutting if he doesn't get the support he's hoping for, so please, if you can come and cheer him along on Facebook and give him a donation to keep him going. While he completes the challenge I'll be talking about the charities and taking any questions anyone has for me or him.[/p][p]We'd really appreciate your support![/p]
