Team story

[p]Do. Or do not. There is no try.” said Yoda, so that’s exactly what we’re going to do![/p][p]On 4th May, ten staff from Reward and a crazy Canuck will be embracing their inner Jedi by walking, running, swimming, cycling, crawling through mud and rowing 368 miles (592 km) in aid of the NSPCC.[/p][p]Every childhood is worth fighting for. Abuse robs children of their childhood. Without help, the scars of abuse can last a lifetime, and as devastating as it can be for the child, ultimately, society pays a heavy price too – so it’s up to each and every one of us to do everything possible to keep childhood safe.[/p][p]Just £4 will pay for a child to speak to Childline, giving them support when they need it most. £25 will pay for a trained practitioner for an hour, to support parents and families caring for children. £500 will pay for the NSPCC’s Speak Out – a stay safe programme to visit one primary school and give children the knowledge to protect themselves from abuse.[/p][p]So what are we actually doing? Chris, Dana, Matt P and Richard P will be walking 65 miles round the Isle of Wight, Beverley will be cycling with them. Nina will be indoor cycling 62 miles. Mark will be throwing himself 12 miles round a tough mudder course. Tracy will be indoor rowing 31 miles. Matt O’C, will be indoor swimming 6.2 miles & Edmond will be swimming 13 miles along the south west coast of the Isles of Wight. If that's not enough, Bima will be teaching 60 people to Zumba at the world famous Pineapple Dance Studio![/p][p]Every penny you donate, will make our efforts (read pain, sweat, maybe blood & a few tears!) even more worthwhile.[/p][p]Your support & encouragement is so very important to us, knowing that we have friends, family & colleagues who have the faith and confidence in us to complete this quest of endurance. [/p][p]The Force will be with you … always. (Obi-Wan Kenobi)[/p]
