I am currently training in preparation for running the London Marathon on Sunday 24th April 2016 in aid of Pancreatic Cancer UK. [/span][/p][lt]p style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"[gt][span=background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);]It is with huge sadness that I will be running in memory of my Mum Joanne instead of in support as orginally hoped, after her brave battle ended February 5th 2016.[/span][/p][lt]p style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"[gt][span=background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);]Mum's story:[/span][/p][lt]p style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"[gt][span=background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);]Joanne was unexpectedly diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer aged 47 in September 2014 after experiencing unexplained pains. [lt]span class="s2" style="line-height: 21.600000381469727px;"[gt]She was determined to beat the odds and couldn't have fought harder. She had 3 different courses of chemotherapy which totalled over 600 hours and underwent [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]major surgery [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]to have her pancreas completely removed. Sadly the [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]cancer cruelly [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]returned to her liver and couldn't be contained.[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][lt]p style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"[gt][span=background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);][lt]span style="line-height: 21.600000381469727px;"[gt]I am so proud of [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]her;[/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;] s[/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]he showed amazing determination and was and continues to be a true inspiration.[/span][lt]/span[gt][/p][lt]p style="color: #454545; font-family: UICTFontTextStyleBody; font-size: 17px; text-decoration: -webkit-letterpress;"[gt][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px; background-color: rgba(255, 255, 255, 0);][lt]span class="s2" style="line-height: 21.600000381469727px;"[gt]While I recognise and support all cancer charities, i[/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]t is really important to me that I fundraise in support of [/span][span=line-height: 21.600000381469727px;]Pancreatic Cancer specifically.
