My story

[p]My story is very simple, in July 2018 as a rather overweight middle aged husband and father of three I was diagnosed with laryngeal cancer(cancer of vocal chords). There then followed 6 weeks of radiotherapy - everything looking good with a 98% of success - what could possibly go wrong ;). Following this I took up running and decided to compete in a couple of events and raise some money, my second event was the Hereford 10km during which I felt a little tired and struggled to breathe. Following a visit to my consultant it was found it had returned and a laryngectomy was required - so July 2nd 2019 I had my voice box removed. During my stay in hospital I decided to run some events to say f... u Cancer so here I am. This year I am competing in 12 events in 12 months with the Race to the Stones being the main one so please support if you can, for all those suffering with this bloody disease.[/p][p]Thank you[/p][p][br][/p]
