My story

[p]I am running my first ever marathon this year. It is a huge challenge on all fronts, but when the opportunity arose I couldn't say no.[/p][p]When I was a child learning to play the trumpet taught me resilience, provided me with a social network, and gave me a creative outlet. It opened up a whole world of education, history and culture which I am still exploring. My early music lessons were all free or subsidised, so working with London Music Masters to create opportunities for children and young people, many of whom who would struggle to pay for instruments and lessons, is very personal for me. [/p][p]We reach 1,300 children each year providing them with some of the best teaching in the country. We are now at an exciting stage where we can extend our reach nationwide, launching the first ever post graduate certificate of education (PGCE) for group instrumental teaching which we believe will be a game changer for the music teaching workforce in the UK.[/p][p]I am so grateful for your personal and financial support. You might want to sponsor me £1 for each mile I complete (definitely aiming for the full 26.2!!) but donations of any size are welcome. Everything you give will go directly into the work of this great charity. [/p][p]Culture matters to all of us, and we at London Music Masters are doing our bit to make sure everyone gets to contribute. Thank you for your support, and wish me luck as I hit the roads...[/p][vmgvideo class="ql-video" allowfullscreen="true" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/KhKfuFpUpi8?showinfo=0&rel=0&iv_load_policy=3" frameborder="0"][/vmgvideo][p][br][/p]

Abigail and Hepzibah

Well done Rob. I'm donating because LMM has done so much for Hepzibah and so many other children. I am so grateful that you are running the marathon and not me! Best of luck, Abigail
