My story
[p][span=font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 11px; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000;]Hello, running has always been a passion of mine and taking on the London Marathon is one of the greatest running challenges on offer. I'm very pumped for this and it also gives me the opportunity to run for Mental Health Research UK.[/span][/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt]Mental health illnesses can dominate a persons life and just getting through each day can be a relentless struggle. [span=font-family: Helvetica; font-size: 11px; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000;]It is by far the most common health issue among the people I know and this gives me the motivation and inspiration to contribute towards its treatment and prevention.[/span] We are all affected by it as 1 in 4 people will experience a mental health problem each year. [span=-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;] [/span][span=-webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;]The statistics show that mental health issues are increasing and the amount spent on research is disproportional. Mental health services are generally underfunded and mental health research even more so. This leads me to support Mental Health Research UK.[/span][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; min-height: 13px;"[gt][/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; min-height: 13px;"[gt]My aim in the marathon isn't just to get round, it is to complete it within 3 hours and 15 minutes so I will be putting in a lot of hard work and any donations will definitely push me further.[/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial; min-height: 13px;"[gt][/p] [lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt]It's fantastic to see that at least 95% of all money raised for Mental Health Research UK goes towards their charitable aim which is to fund research into the causes of mental illness in order to develop better treatments with fewer side-effects.[/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt][/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt]Thank you :)[/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt][/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt][/p][lt]p style="margin: 0px; font-size: 11px; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica; -webkit-text-stroke-color: #000000; -webkit-text-stroke-width: initial;"[gt](Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities.
