My story

[p]I will leave St Pauls in London and cycle to Paris, this will be something I have been looking forward to doing for a number of summers, and with these two charities in mind I will cycle the ups and downs all the way to under the Eiffel Tower.[/p][p]I am doing this in the hope of raising money for two very important charities, firstly Hospice in The Weald in Pembury, Kent are a local Hospice that care for terminally ill patients that need 24 hour care. Many of these amazing individuals are volunteers as well as professional nurses and doctors, these organisations survive on donations to allow them to operate in such an efficient and caring way. I feel so fortunate after seeing how well they cared for my late mother and for us as a whole family, I will always be so blown away on how these carers, nurses and doctors cope with the long shifts and the care they provide with such smiles and dedication to each patient and their families. [/p][p]We were aloud to sleep in a bed they provided next to my mum until she came home, they fed us all and kept the cups of tea coming 24/7 much to my mums delight of a good cup of tea.[/p][p]Even when my Mum came home to pass away she was visited by them and looked after, they helped us in a way that I can only really recognise now the time has past to reflect on, I hope the money I raise and that you donate will help other families as we where helped.[/p][p]I used to tell my Mum about cycling to Paris one summer and she would say, go for it Ross. So now its time, sadly she wont see me achieve this goal but she will be there all the way.[/p][p][br][/p][p]The second charity is Children Of Fiji[/p][p]When my Mum and Dad Visited Fiji during their wedding anniversary they fell in love with the people, and the country. As she was a primary school teacher she would visit local schools with supplies of books, colouring pens & paper, toys and anything they may need, even when she got home she would send boxes of goodies for the local children in Fiji to enjoy. [/p][p]My mum believed in helping others especially children from deprived area, raising for this charity would make her very happy so we can to keep these children enjoying their education.[/p][p]So any donations will help no matter how small, it all adds up to something much greater than money.[/p]
