Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting our page. [/p][p]We are due to undertake an ambitious cycling challenge in an attempt to raise as much money as we can for charity. Over the weekend of 17-18 May we will be pedalling our little hearts out to complete the 185 mile route that makes up the MITIE London Revolution 2014.[/p] [p]The event is split over 2 days with the first day consisting of a 100-mile cycle from the centre of London, through the countryside to the north of the city and ending up at Ascot racecourse where we will be camping for the night. If that doesn’t sound hard enough, we will then be getting up at the crack of dawn on the following day to stretch our weary legs and cycle a further 85 miles back into London via the summit of the infamous Box Hill in Surrey (site of the London 2012 Olympic road race). As you can imagine this will be a very challenging ordeal and one that we will not be able to take lightly.[/p] [p]In order to make the challenge a little easier, we are hoping that you can spare the time to sponsor us both for completing it. We are hoping to raise as much money as possible for The Mitie Foundation and their partnership with Working Knowledge. [/p] [p]Working Knowledge is a social enterprise that creates chances for young people to open doors into the world of work by bridging the gap between education and the workplace.  Mitie has done great work with Working Knowledge and this will continue throughout 2014 with the setting up of a new Business Development Academy. This academy will help to harness the raw business talent of the 12 promising pupils by offering them formal business training as well as work experience over a year as part of a recognised apprenticeship. Any money you can spare to sponsor us will make a massive difference in the lives of 12 young people. [/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
