My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. [/p][p]I am running for the The Walton Centre which specialises in Neuroscience and in particular a condition called Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO) which is currently incurable. The money raised will go towards fighting this condition and finding a cure. It is a very rare condition but effects people that are very close to me to whom suffer and are helping with research to fight this![/p][p]For more info here is a link to some sites that offer info on what we are fighting:[/p][p]http://www.nmouk.nhs.uk/[/p][p]http://www.thewaltoncentre.nhs.uk/ [/p][p]For those of you who know me better will know that over the last couple of years, I have put on the pounds, well stones, and become pretty unfit, so this is really a challenge for me personally as well. Although without trying to sound to cheesy, those that suffer with NMO have to battle a marathon everyday! So I don't need to look too far for inspiration. So all donations coming in will only spur me on more.[/p][p]All donations are welcome no matter how big or small, please give what you can? Every penny helps, without trying to sound too much like a celebrity on Red Nose Day![/p][p]I would love to raise a big total for this which is why I am posting so early. It is just over 5 full months until the big day, if every one could donate £1, £5 , £10 even each month from their salary, an amount that won't be missed. Based on 20 people giving £5 a month, would generate £500 alone before the big day. Thats less than 2 pints a beer a month each.[/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
