My story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p][p]I’m running the marathon for St. Wilfrid’s Hospice, Eastbourne. [/p][p]So let’s try this one again, shall we?? [/p][p]As adamant as I was to run London this year, a rather significant injury I picked up only a few weeks before the marathon, meant I had to (very begrudgingly) defer my place until next year. After the support from my physios, I’m still recovering but hoping to be stronger than ever! I’ve already tentatively started training with my local running club, to get into the swing of things!! [/p][p]I was over the moon to reach my target of £1000 for St.Wilfrid’s hospice, but now as I’ve got another to wait until the next- I’m hoping to raise as much as I can on top! [/p][p]The support I’ve had has been so so appreciated for this amazing charity and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your generosity so far! [/p][p]This incredible charity has had a massive impact on my life, and their support has been immeasurable. [/p][p]In 2000 my Father passed away from an aggressive Brain tumour, and in 2013 my Mother also passed away after a short battle with malignant melanoma. [/p][p]Both of my parents spent their last days in St. Wilfrid’s, so I am forever in their debt. [/p][p]So here’s the catch.... I’ve got to RUN! [/p][p]I’ve got to run a fairly daunting 20-something miles. If you know me at all, the only time (until recently) you’d catch me running, would be away from something terrifying- or towards a chocolate bar. [/p]
