My story

[p]Thanks for visiting my fundraising page - it's been a while since I exploited my midlife crisis for the purposes of helping others, so thought it was about time to do something silly again.[/p][p]There's not a day that goes by when I am not aware of just how lucky I am to have two beautiful, healthy children, who both have a wonderful mother. As I happily read of friends and colleagues starting families, or adding to their families, it's easy to forget just how close to home the devastation of miscarriage can be. We all know friends and family who have been through this pain, even if we don't know that we do. The Miscarriage Association provide support, comfort, explanations and also help fund research in to the causes of miscarriage.[/p][p]By some perverse luck, I secured a place through the ballot for the London Marathon at the first time of applying - so, I have no deposit to pay off, no minimum amount to raise, and I'll end up running the Marathon, in any case - but I would be so very grateful if you'd consider giving whatever you can (large or small) to help support those who go through the despair of losing their unborn babies during pregnancy - for my pathetic pains as I moan and groan around the 26.2 miles are trivial compared with what so many people suffer every day, every year.[/p][p]Thanks for reading, and thank you so much if you've managed to donate.[/p][p]Best wishes, Rob x [/p]
