My story

[p]Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. This is my third fundraising page and in total so far I have raised around£4000 for the MNDA since my dad died. If you would like to read more about my running journey and why I raise funds for MND, please take a look at my blog www.rularuns.co.uk[/p][p][/p][p]I will be running the London Marathon for the 3rd year in a row - lucky or what! Each year I have run for #TeamMND in memory of my dad.[/p][p]It's been nearly 6 years since my dad passed away, yet in 6 years there is still no cure. Research is getting better and it does feel that a break through could be soon, so any funds raised for MNDA will help. Wouldn't it be amazing, if we got to a stage when someone was diagnosed, they at least had a chance to fight it.[/p] [p]The disease is devastating in the way it attacks a person’s body, but also in that once a person is diagnosed they have no cure to fight for. It still takes my breath away every time I read that someone has been diagnosed, as the journey that they, and the family face is awful.[/p] [p]My dad was diagnosed in the Nov 2009 (on my birthday to be precise) and then died just 8 months later. He has been robbed of meeting my daughter, my niece and my nephew. My mum has been robbed her partner in crime. For this reason I would really appreciate any donations that you could make. I really want for us to find a cure for this cruel disease, so that when people are told they have 'MND' that at least have something to fight for.[/p] [p]If you want to follow my journey more, you can go to www.rularuns.wordpress.com, follow me on twitter @rula10 or instagram @rularuns[/p] [p]Hi, thanks for visiting my page. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
