Team story

[p]Hi, thanks for visiting this page. [/p][p]So we're raising money for WaterAid, a fantastic charity. Why WaterAid? Well they have an obvious close link to the water industry, however personally, I've worked in a couple of developing countries and seen first hand how the work they do changes lives, in a sustainable educational way. [/p][p][/p][p]So what are we doing? Well we are planning to ride the route of the River Severn from source to estuary, immediately followed by the River Trent from source to estuary.[/p][p]We'll be cycling on the roads closest to the rivers and in total its about 400 miles. Looking to do this in 4 consecutive days averaging around 100 miles a day.[/p][p]We'll be calling in at a few key STW sites along the way for refreshments and to raise a few more pennies for WaterAid. [/p][p]Not sure yet how many people will be doing the ride as its open for folk to join for a few miles, a day or the whole ride. Whatever works for people![/p][p]So far we have me, Tim May, Lee Birch, Paul Gibbons, Simon Oakden, Stuart Barker and Leon Plews for the lot. And a definite confirmed for 1 day only (or maybe more??) Simon Cocks, Waste Water Services Director![/p][p]Thats what we are doing and why. If you need to know more about WaterAid please visit their website.[/p][p][/p][p]Many thanks[/p][p][/p][p]Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor us and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
