SOLO Half Marathon - Hackney half cancelled

[p]Hello![/p][p]Let me tell you a little bit about why I am fundraising for a charity I am very passionate about. [/p][p]I have been mentoring with ReachOut for 3 years now and see first hand how this charity supports young people from disadvantaged areas. They instil confidence in young people and give them something bigger to believe in outside their estates. Poorer students in the UK are almost three full years behind those from wealthier socio economic backgrounds. [/p][p]Through their two one-to-one mentoring programmes, the ReachOut Club and ReachOut Academy, they help young people from disadvantaged backgrounds build their character, confidence and academic skills, and set them on the path to go on to live good, happy and successful lives.[/p][p]As we all know COVID-19 has massively impacted all of our lives and charities like ReachOut will suffer from loss of fundraising activities. This has a massive impact on ReachOut and their ability to continue supporting their projects. With the hope of helping out in anyway I can, I will continue on my quest to raise money this year by doing the half marathon SOLO. I have manged to rope in my friend who will carry my water bottles and energy snacks needed to get me to the finish line. I haven't ran a half marathon in four years so please wish me luck!
