Team story

[p]Hi, and thanks for visiting our page. [/p] [p]On Sunday 24th April, a team of twelve runners from Salesforce will be participating in the London Marathon to raise awareness and funding for the NSPCC.  This inspiring charity protects the most vulnerable children in the UK by preventing neglect and abuse, and by transforming society so it’s safer for all children.  The money raised by the team will help to fund the NSPCC’s work, including the ChildLine Schools Service, which gives primary school children the awareness they need to recognise abuse and seek help sooner.[/p] [p]As a group, Team Salesforce has committed to raising £50,000 for the NSPCC, after raising £50,000 over the past couple of years. It’s no small task, but given the philanthropic spirit that exists amongst the team, our family and friends, and the wider Salesforce community – we hope to hit our goal to support the variety of NSPCC programmes that are already improving the lives of over 750,000 children and their families.[/p] [p]If you’re in the UK, please put the 24th April in your diaries to come out and support the team as we run, jog, and possibly limp our ways through the gruelling 26.2-mile course.  After months of training in the coldest and wettest months we can remember, it would be great to see your smiling faces and hear your encouraging cheers as we make our way through the famous streets Greenwich, Blackheath, and the City of London. [/p] [p]We really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations, large or small. Every little bit will help us reach our goal of £50,000!  As a not for profit organization, Virgin Money Giving can claim gift aid on a charity's behalf for any eligible donations so please remember to tick the box for gift aid if you can.  And on top of this, Salesforce.com will match all of our fundraising.  [/p] [p]Once again, thank you for your support and hope to see you on the 24th![/p]
