The London Marathon

[p]Hi there![/p][p]This has been my dream since the first year of watching the London Marathon on our little TV back in the day!!! Never in a million years did I ever think I would make it a reality and be on that start line. I feel so blessed. [/p][p]It is truly an honour to run for CHICKS and raise much needed funds for them! If you aren’t familiar with their great work let me share.... [/p][p]They provide valuable respite for children doing it tough from 8-16years. Maybe they care for a parent, are struggling with grief, have been abused or lacking in confidence through a bad start in life - CHICKS will give them a week away with an awesome team of volunteers all trained to help them build positive memories and have fun. [/p][p]My children are survivors of domestic violence and one struggles with PTSD as a result. They have all been touched by one of the above and I wish there were CHICKS everywhere. [/p][p]Im sure this could resonate with all of us in some way.
