My story

[p]If you could please spare a minute to read the background of this fundraise i would be very grateful thankyou![/p][p]Hi, i am Sammy Lambert i am 29 years old. I am a farmer from East Yorkshire. [/p][p]I am a finalist in the Miss Great Britain 75th Anniversary in February 2020. For the anniversary i will be in the finals in the first ever Ms Great Britain Category for 28 and overs hoping to do my best for the Ms Great Britain title![/p][p][br][/p][p]On the 8th November 2019 i will be taking part in a loop the loop challenge in a stunt plane to raise money for these great charities so please sponsor me by donating! Every little helps [/p][p]Let me tell you a bit about the 2 amazing charities i will be fundraising for....[/p][p]Cancer research uk [/p][p]this charity is the worlds largest charity dedicated to saving life’s through research [/p][p]1 in 2 of us will unfortunately have a cancer diagnosis at some point in our lives. Cancer Research UK are passionate about early diagnosis and survival, keeping families together instead of cancer destroying them. Back in the 1960’s and 1970’s only 25% of people would survive a diagnosis, today it’s 50% and this is primarily due to their research. They aren’t stopping there though, they have a very ambitious goal, and this is to see this rise to 75% by 2034![/p][p]Alex’s Wish[/p][p]The founder Emma Hallam set-up the charity shortly after her son Alex was diagnosed with the condition at the age of 4. [/p][p]Alex’s Wish is a registered charity with a mission to eradicate Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne affects 1 in every 3,500 boys born. It’s a devastating aggressive fatal muscle wasting disease which leaves children completely paralysed by late teens. [/p][p]Duchenne is caused by a mutation on the X chromosome, boys are born with the condition and it can affect any family. Boys are missing a vital protein and as a result every single muscle in their body is destroyed. It is 100% fatal and most boys are only expected to live until their mid-twenties due to heart and respiratory complications.[/p][p]By just giving back, to charities like these we can all make a difference in the world and help so please consider contributing to these 2 great causes even if its a small amount every little will help make big changes in people lives! [/p][p][br][/p][p]Thankyou[/p][p]sammy xx[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p]
