My story

[p]UPDATE: Race postponed until 18th September 2020.[/p][p]On the 18th September 2020, I fly out to Morocco to take part in the Marathon des Sables (MDS).[/p][p]“Known as the toughest foot race on earth”, the MDS involves running 250 km —that’s the equivalent of six marathons —across the Sahara Desert over seven days.[/p][p]If that wasn’t enough of a challenge, I’ll also be carrying all of my own food and supplies on my back, camping in the desert for the longevity of the race.[/p][p]While I’m doing this as a personal challenge, it’s also a great opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause.[/p][p]I’m raising money for Norfolk-based charity, Walking with the Wounded, and I’d be grateful for any support you can provide by donating here.[/p][p]Helping ex-service men & women who are disabled, mentally ill or homeless, back into work after leaving the forces, Walking with the Wounded is a fantastic organisation. Any donations you can make will make huge difference and would be greatly appreciated by both myself and the charity.[/p][p]I’d also be more than happy to discuss this challenge with you if you’d like to find out more contact me on 07850957506.[/p][p]You can follow my progress on Strava and we have a podcast with interviews from previous MDS participants and team chats as we map our training progress across the year. I'll also be taking part in events in the build up to the race, see the list below.[/p][p]I am grateful for any support you can give us and if you are a corporate sponsor would like to sponsor or donate some kit please get in touch at sean@seanclark.com.[/p][p]Updates:[/p][p]2000+ miles of training completed so far.[/p][p]279km in January 2020 plus I completed "Dry January", if you know me you know that was a challenge in itself!
