My story

[p]Hello friends[lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]On Sunday September 3rd, I am taking part in the Parallel London 10km race, which runs through the Olympic Park in East London, to raise money for Spare Tyre, an extraordinary charity. As a trustee of the theatre company and charity Spare Tyre, I would like to help raise as much as possible to fund our work![lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]This year is Spare Tyre's 40th birthday. That's 40 years of creating participatory art that changes lives. We hope to be going for the next 40 years too, supporting people from disadvantaged communities including women who have experienced violence, people with learning disability and older people. You can find out more about the diverse work Spare Tyre creates at our website here: http://www.sparetyre.org/ [lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]I just know that Parallel London will prove to be another high point in what is already a packed 40th anniversary year for Spare Tyre. We have a packed calendar of activities going on, both honouring the company’s heritage while also producing great new work that enables voiceless communities and individuals to share and celebrate their untold stories, transforming lives and challenging prejudice.[lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]If you think that I am going to find running 10 km easy, well think again.  My training has been touch-and-go due to strains and pains along the way, and frankly I am daunted at the challenge that awaits me on September the 3rd.  I take heart in the fact that I will have an amazing team of Spare Tyre supporters to carry me to the finish line, though not literally I hope![lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]Much love, and thank you for supporting a great cause in any capacity that you have.[lt]br /[gt][lt]br /[gt]Sebastien[/p][p]P.S. Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.[/p]
