My story

[p]The Baker’s Dozen - 13 Great British Bake Off Contestants taking on the ultimate challenge of running the world’s greatest marathon. [/p][p]You know the one where your mind is constantly racing and you can’t decide to stick to one thing... is he a baker, a biker, a wannabe chef, a trekker, or the B-word...? This time, I’m a marathon runner – yes, just one of my more crazier ideas! [/p][p][br][/p][p]Sadly, running 2 half marathons in the past doesn’t count as one full marathon (silly rules) so, for the 100th time, as you’ve seen on my social media, I’m officially running the 2018 Virgin Money London Marathon - maybe in pants and an apron. Might as well! [/p][p] [/p][p]Fundraising and awareness has always been important to me since I can remember, as I am a huge believer in giving back to the local and international community. At any point in our lives, we, including family members, neighbours, colleagues and friends have found ourselves directly or indirectly relying on the services provided by many charitable organisations out there. [/p][p][br][/p][p]As an ambassador, I have chosen to run and raise awareness and funds on behalf World Vision UK - not because the charity was also supported by Meghan Markle and a GoT legend haha, but because I strongly believe in their work domestically and internationally - providing vital care and support to some of the most vulnerable children (and their communities) around the world. [/p][p][br][/p][p]I am not going to bore you with some fancy spiel, as think charitable giving is a rather personal thing, but if you’re feeling rather generous, or would like to find out more, please click on the link below. A donation of any amount (even £1!) would be much appreciated. [/p]
