Team story

[p]Sponsors: Ford UK, KitBrix, High5 Sports Nutrition, Chelmer Cycles.[/p][p]Thanks also to Raleigh UK, Chemdry Countywide, PUMA, Saddleback UK, The Blue Egg[/p][p][/p][p]Hi, representing Shaftesbury Cycling Club, Sam, Ian, Gary and Matt will be completing 500 miles in 3 days, through the Vosges region of France, tracking the Rhine along the German French border to our final stop in Montreux on Lake Geneva in Switzerland. [/p][p]We are riding for Parkinson's UK. Sam's aunt was diagnosed with this debilitating disease at the age of just 34. Like many of the 10,000 people diagnosed each year, Julie has relied heavily on Parkinsons UK for care, support and advice throughout the 10 years that she has lived with the condition. Far from just relying on the charity, Julie has devoted a great deal of her own time to raising awareness and funds, particularly for the Havering branch of the charity, who ensure that local people living with Parkinson's receive the support they deserve.[/p][p]Parkinson's disease is a progressive neurological condition from which one in 500 people suffer.  That's around 127,000 people in the UK. There currently is no cure, but drugs, treatment and care help to manage the sypmtoms.[/p][p]This is our chance to support. Thank you for yours. [/p][p]Sam, Matt, Gary, Ian[/p][p][/p]

Sorry it is only a tenner, but that's my limit for the dozens of people who ask me to sponsor them. It is shaming that as a country we rely on charity to do this important research. Good luck Gary and Team and enjoy yourselves
