My story

[p]For 9 years I motivated others to lose weight, now 10 years later I still bump into my slimming world club members and I am told that I was the best consultant they ever had. And yet I left because I felt a failure. I was going through divorce, I was gaining weight and my business was falling apart so I was unable to financially support my family. [/p][p]Despite being seen on the outside as amazing and awesome - inside I was falling apart and didn't know what to do. I spoke to my line manager who was amazing and I changed roles from consultant to area manager and that solved my financial situation but it didn't solve my self esteem issues. [/p][p]May 2006 I started a journey of self discovery to understand myself, why did I eat the way I did even though I knew it was bad for me and I wanted to lose weight. It took many years to learn to manage my critic that told me I was bad or naughty for eating certain foods to reach a point in my life where I feel that I actually have a great relationship with food. And like relationships there are certain foods I can spend loads of time with and some that are not so good for me. They make me tired and bloated and lethargic. [/p][p]Square Pegs Charity - create a space for people in our community to congregate and talk breaking the vicious cycle of isolation. Being overweight and feeling like I was not good enough left me feeling very alone in a world of so many amazing people and many in our community slip through the system [/p][p][br][/p][p]I am a trustee for the charity and a volunteer and this year they need to achieve a monthly income of £2500 to pay for the building overheads and I am 100% committed to supporting them to achieve that. [/p][p][br][/p][p]In 2017 I set myself a goal to lose 50 lbs to raise money for the charity and that was supposed to happen before my 50th Birthday 15th Dec 2017. I managed to lose 15lbs. Something happened in my life that shook my world. My husband had a heart attack. Now the good news is that I didn't gain weight. I did maintain my commitment to more activity and I am now 18lbs lighter. I believe that the right goals never go away. You always want them and some just take longer than you anticipated. So with 30 weeks to my 51st Birthday I am 100% committed to losing 32 lbs while I am still 50 and I want to raise £3500 for my chosen charity.[/p][p][br][/p][p][br][/p][p]You can support me simply by sponsoring me pound for pound and paying at the end or you can join a private a mastermind group that will meet once a month and I will share how I changed my relationship with food and how I am learning to love the whole of my body and how I am guaranteed to lose this 32 lbs this time. I will even motivate, mentor and help you manage your critic to ensure your own success should you want to join me on this journey. All that for a monthly donation to my charity page - suggested donation £25 per month. [/p][p]Pay your donation today and then email on Sheryl@stepbysteplistening.com _ subject header - ready to change my relationship with food.
