My story

[p]With restrictions over the past year, one thing I have been able to do lose weight and get fit by walking, and a bit more walking! So much so, I got in touch with a long time friend, and asked him if he was up to walking the West Highland Way in Scotland this summer, and with a resounding yes, here we are preparing for what will be my first, long distance multi-day hike.[/p][p]We will be walking the 96 miles from Milngavie (pronounced Mullguy) through the West Highlands to Fort William, over 8 days. All being well with covid restrictions being lifted, hopefully hitting the hills in early May this year.[/p][p]Both Paul (raising money for the Message Trust) and myself will be raising money for charities that are close to our hearts I will be raising money for The Door Youth project on Stroud.[/p][p]The Door Youth Project is dear to my heart, having volunteered there a few years back, and seeing first hand the impact they have, not just on young peoples lives, but their families too. My eyes were opened to how much needs to be done behind the scenes to make all this happen, so every penny raised is going to help them keep doing what they do.[/p][p]I know it has been a tough times on us all over the past year, and I completely understand money can be, and is tight for many of us right now. But every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Every little helps! [/p][p]So a massive thank you, in advance to everyone who can contribute towards this amazing charity, no matter how big or small the contribution.[/p][p]Please do join our Facebook page to follow us for our trip.[/p][p][/p][p]God bless y'all[/p][p]Si[/p]
