[p]In 2019, CEO Sleepout supported YMCA Milton Keynes (MK) in furnishing 10 of our 199 rooms in our new campus. In March 2020, we excitedly opened the doors to our new building, welcoming young people in the city to their new homes. However, a week later, we went into a national lockdown.[/p][p]We are bracing ourselves for the financial impact of COVID-19. While our campus enables us to support more young people than ever before, we are doing so during a time when many of our fundraising activities have been cancelled. Our ability to support the local community and those most vulnerable is being put to the test.[/p][p]We believe that the Milton Keynes community [i]needs [/i]YMCA MK now more than ever – the homeless young people for whom YMCA MK is their only sanctuary, and the young people who stay with us as they start out in life and need an affordable place to stay along with practical and emotional support. [/p][p]That's why we're pleased to join forces with CEO Sleepout and MK Dons SET for a second year – in a safe, virtual event! Money raised from this year's fundraiser will go directly to the vital services that we provide for our residents. [/p][p]We want to thank everyone who has helped us this past year and ask our friends and supporters to get behind this crucial event. Thanks to you, YMCA MK has been in our community for 40 years and we fully intend to be here for the next 40 years to come.[/p]
